Volume 58 | Stretching Limits
Drew Brees makes billion bet on stretching, Rumble co-founders launch self-defense inspired fitness concept, and Steve Aoki x Neuro drop new mint flavor.

📰 The Pulse
Why Drew Brees Is All-In on Stretch Zone, A Booming Brand With 400 Locations.
The fast-growing assisted stretching franchise just opened its 400th studio, marking another milestone in what’s been an impressive few years.
NFL legend Drew Brees teamed up with Stretch Zone in 2021, and he continues to work with the brand today. Currently serving as a brand partner for Stretch Zone, Brees’ commitment to the franchise goes deeper than surface level.
The Playbook Take — I’m someone who is religious when is comes to stretching. You truly do feel like a million bucks after a quality session. I love how this partnership with Brees grew organically with him starting out as a customer. Excited to watch them continue to expand while helping people with essential recovery methods.
Rumble Co-Founders Launch The Pack, a New Concept That Blends Self Defense & Group Fitness
Noah Neiman and Andy Stenzler have big plans for their new boutique fitness brand, which features strength training, high-intensity cardio and a distinct form of self-defense training they call “street defense”.
His new concept combines three core modalities: strength training on Technogym benches, cardio on Rogue Assault Bikes and self-defense moves performed on a “BOB” bag, also known as a body-opponent bag.
Classes will run for 50 minutes, and they’re designed to help people build real-world skills for self-defense while also getting into great shape.
The Pack is aiming to open its doors in early August in NYC, with pre-sales expected to become available to the public starting on July 15th.
The Playbook Take — I love when people innovate a space that can feel boring and routine at times. Plus teach people valuable skills while helping them get in great shape. The brand even goes a step further with a meaningful logo and exclusive music played during classes.
Wellness Brands Back Women’s Sports
Period care brand Sequel became the first official tampon sponsor of the WNBA’s Indiana Fever. Teams and fans will both receive in-stadium access.
Founded by former Stanford athletes Amanda Calabrese and Greta Meyer, Sequel’s patented spiral tampon is designed to support peak performance during menstruation.
The Playbook Take — Paired with athlete deals and content activations, apparel, CPG, and beauty brands are prepping for the future where women’s sports aren’t a sideline story, but the main stage.
